Snowy neighborhood! Same here. I'll guess the structure straight ahead is a garage, with the driveway coming in from the left. I see a problem with the orientation of the roof, sloping down on the driveway and back sides. Snow inconveniently slides off the roof right onto the driveway in front of the garage doors. We had the same issue when we bought our house, so in remodeling to expand the garage we had that part of the new roof sloping to the sides instead.

It matches the orientation of roofline of the house, plus the width of the garage makes this a more convenient orientation.
