Hey all, I haven't had the energy to share anything here for a few weeks, but I am still around 🙂
I will probably be around a lot less though as it's becoming more and more difficult for me to even sit upright for more than a few hours each day, but I will try to post something when I have the energy.

Thank you for sharing this as always Colton. I also want to take the opportunity to tell you that while researching Rollei cameras (as I'd sold 2.8E over 20 years ago), I found your piece on Rolleis but also your set of B&W images taken with Rolleiflex that I had not seen. They are beautiful and inspiring!

I've been scanning some old Kodachrome 25. This is the view from the summit of Uluru looking towards Kata Tjuta in Central Australia. Taken in winter 1978 with an OM1 and Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 and a polarizer.

I've been scanning some old Kodachrome 25. This is the view from the summit of Uluru looking towards Kata Tjuta in Central Australia. Taken in winter 1978 with an OM1 and Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 and a polarizer.
I so much regret I never shot any Kodachrome.

It was my favourite film, Pan. I regret its passing. I still have an unprocessed roll that I found after the deadline had passed. Not sure how to process it.
Here's another KR25 shot, taken in 1980 at a surf life saving carnival in Sydney. The carnivals are competitive events for surf lifesavers. This is the march past competition, a traditional event.

There is even worse thing. I have shot Kodachrome (only once), but never saw the result 🙂 I once bought some film on ebay from the US seller. When she was posting to Lithuania she realized it was a country she has never been to. She put two rolls of Kodachrome and asked me to make some photos and send the unprocessed film back to US. Which I did. She later said she developed it at Dwayne’s photo, but somehow I never asked to send some scanned photos and later lost the contact with her.
So, yea, I can say I shot Kodachrome, but…

During my recent visit to Poland, i had the chance to spend few hours with this amazing lady. She recounted her memories as a child during the WWII and their deportation from Belarus (Poland back then) to the parts of Germany given to Poland as war reparations.
