gsgary: Is that a "Triple SU-Zenith Stromberg" set photograph on an XKE? I bought a 1964 XKE from a Naval flight student at NAS Pensacola around about 1972. The fellow was recent graduate from upstate NY university, Oswego? So I bought the repair manual for $25. The lube had settled in the electric fuel pump, easy fix. I drove it about a year or so. Broke down on trip to California. The flight student had new Firestone tires on the wire wheels and the perfect interior had black leather seats with walnut dash and steering wheel. Only problem, rust so bad the body flexed at the door jams. But what an experience! According to the manual over a certain speed the Zenith Stromberg's did not add more fuel but just more air so the mileage improved. When I went through Pensacola in 1978 for flight training I had picked up an XKE V-12 in Baltimore that kept me attached to a repair shop until I parted with it....wish I had just garaged the beauty.

I always struggle to compose quickly with a TLR - the right-to-left movement always catches me unprepared. You have timed yours very nicely. Very nice picture.

North Narrabeen rock pool on the Sydney coast, spring 2021. Almost every beach has a pool built on the adjacent rock platform, similar to this one. Most of them get swept over by waves whenever there's storm swells and high tides.

This is so familiar Joao. All my childhood i used to watch the elderly catching octopuses and hitting them on the salty rock to become tender before hanging them to dry. Octopuses don't have central nervous system and they don't die easily (the common wisdom is that they don't feel pain either - when they are hungry they eat their own tentacles).

I have this picture of a fisherman tendering an octopus, it is a quick scan of a picture taken in 2017 in Greece.

Octopuses are very clever animals, surprisingly good at solving problems; traps to catch them are quite elaborate, more than for other sea animals. Killing octopuses is not a pleasant thing to see at least in the way they do it around here - and as you show in your photo. I never got used to it. Some more drying racks here, from the same roll. Octopuses and horse-mackerels. I liked that photo also because of the shadows, they make interesting shapes.

Here is another taken a couple mins earlier - Disclaimer! I'm thinking my development for a good portion of this roll got uneven development in the tank.

The Rollei is a different animal for sure. Coming back to it, after not having one for over 20 years I am really enjoying the many facets that the viewfinder offers. Here though,
I just worked from the center and decided to not overthink "composing" in terms of the outer portion of my frame- for reasons you mention, in addition to looking down rather than
"through the finder" like a Leica for an action shot. All that said, I was interested in the sun as a compositional element for these and other pics made along that walk.
