I've been tempted to get the 24mm, I was a bit disappointed with the AF 28 (non-D).
How do you like the 24?

It’s an amazing little lens. It apparently has the close focus correction that the AI-S version had, so it’s pretty darn good close up.
I haven’t heard anything good about the 28 2.8 AF lenses. The 28 f1.4 D is supposed to be stellar, but it’s quite big, and quite expensive.
