Post Pics From Your OM

Wonderful thread and great photos. I enjoy using my Olys as much as my Leicas. Glass is first-rate and I am always on the lookout for an affordable 21/3.5 and a 90/2 to round out my stable.

I know I've said before that I'm good at taking photos of "stuff" but there's not much there beyond it. So I've been trying to photograph people more, and this morning while looking at the OC Register, I saw that the Buddhist Temple in Santa Ana had an enormous Jade Buddha on display for the public along with a festival. Perfect opportunity.

So here are some photos from this afternoon. I mostly used my Olympus OM1 with the 100mm 2.8 Zuiko. I really like the lens, it has great bokeh, and allowed me to get a little bit closer. I used FP4+ in 1:50 Rodinal for 15 Minutes. I shouldn't have used FP4 to be honest, It was very cloudy for most of the time, and most of my exposures were are ƒ4 at 1/125 or ƒ5.6 for 1/60, so things would've been easier with Tri-X... then again I was able to crop a few of these shots because I used FP4.

I met a few photographers through meetup.com and I took a few snaps with my 50/1.4. I went to Disney later in the day and to my horror I couldn't make any sense of the meter readings... ƒ5.6 at 1/125 in bright daylight? huh? I had another battery in my old Minolta body and the problem was resolved. I didn't take many photos at Disney as a result though. We still had fun.

This was in HC110 dilution H, 75° for 9:30. It's so hard to get a straight answer with Tri-X and HC110. Negs were a little darkish than I'd like maybe. I think I may go back to D76.

From M1 using my 35mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.8. The M1 is off being CLA`ed. It needs a new penta prism. It also needs to be rewired. It has a very bad battery drain problem. All photos shot using 1600 Neopan.
