I'd like to share some personal photos (no, not those kind!) and invite you to do the same.

First, this is a photo of me taken by my father on our 2 week Toronto to west coast road trip 2 summers ago. There's some beautiful scenery out west! I'm using a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera and this is before I lost40 lbs.

Second, here's my other passion in life (of course beyond my family) and something that helps keep me sane - my 1981 BMW R100. I ride to work (1/2 hr.) whenever the weather permits.

I took this today...

Personal? Sure, it's my bathroom. The cat stays here, my wife belongs to the cat. Convoluted logic. Love it.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

PS - Canon FX circa 1962 SLR Canon FL 135/2.5 1/135@f2.5 on Kodak Gold 400 Max.

After photography, Ham Radio communications is my hobby. I am with the counties Search and Rescue, Amature Radio Emergency Communications and with Thurston County's Emergency Services.
Our local group used a CD of my photos for a local TV show displaying what Amature Radio does for the community.

This is how I get about for those winter photographs. Far to hard to pack it in on foot, and I can cover much more ground. Sure beats sitting on the couch all winter.

This is what I do during the summer months. Thats also my daughter in the photo for size.

And lastly thats me in the front.

Btw, this is a good tread Frank, and one I expect will grow into another camera and coffee thread!

i used to ride.
my claim to fame was a trip from edmonton, here in alberta to n.y.c. ( & back of course) to visit the family.
it was the best adventure of my life, just me and the bike.
i rode a honda silver wing.

Stephen,
I think aerial surveillance would be useful as we navigate the Missouri and Mississippi -- are you in?:D :D :D

Yea, I'm in. On the way, I can also pick up Joe for the New England RFF get together! It will save him airline tickets, and HuckFin from having to pick him up at the airport!

This is me in 1998, taken with an OM-1n. It's one of the last pictures my father ever took. It's a rather low-quality scan from a print.

I'm still just as good-looking today! :D
