This was probably the best shot from my last roll. Many of the other shots were slighly underexposed.

Interesting observations/thoughts Helen. It's so hard to tell whether some is homeless or not. How someone is dressed is not always a telltale sign. You'll see decently dressed people who are homeless and scraggly looking people who aren't.
 
I'm scanning some rolls from this year. Here's the best so far from the roll I'm currently processing:



Ilford XP2, Canon 35/1.8 on Bessa R2A. Montmartre, Paris.

The young man wearing a red nose is a street artist who was performing on the street corner, where you can see his props and clothes neatly arranged. There was a crowd of ten to twenty people who suddenly noticed a little Toyota reversing towards the young man. The crowd loudly booed at the Toyota whose driver seemed intent on parking on the very street corner, almost crushing the young man's belongings and bumping into him. He then, realizing what is going on, moved in to explain the situation to the driver. I don't know if they found a common language, seeing the tags are Polish. With the young man waving his hand and the scarf flowing in the air, I made the exposure. The battle for the parking space did not quite end here, but there was no better shot to be made although I did study some other angles.

Was not necessarily thinking of his clothes...
In NYC as you know it's hipster cool to dress Down 😉
It's the Lines in the Face , his Countenance
He looks in need or 'wanting'
His face has such a Sad quality and Worn with Age...possibly a hard Life
Or life as of late on the Streets

Either way the Photo Touched my heart
