Dear Board,

Another shot from the Covid year. My wife and I rented a cabin in North Central PA. One day we decided, lets go see if we can see some elk?

So we drove an hour or so to a popular viewing site and found it shrouded in dense fog. My wife is a hob-knobber and she set out to chat up the other folks who gathered. Meanwhile, I racked the seat back and fell asleep in the truck, only to be awakened by a raven sitting on the sign post directly in front of the truck cawing his heart out.

I awoke, grabbed the camera, took about a half dozen steps and got this, long before the folks further downhill under the fog line even knew he was there.

I'll forever remember the raven who let me know what was about.

Regards,

Tim Murphy

This was in Fleet St, central london, he was soon arrested, idiot, the Fox was scared witless.

I consider this to be one of my best wildlife images. Shot on safari in Kenya 16 years ago on a D200. If my memory serves me well (it rarely does) this was an upended sign, so had a concrete base. Only open at one end. Still to this day I have no idea how this Monitor Lizard got in there.
