Thanks, Doug! I timed the shot just as the sun was beginning to hit the upper falls. I was standing in Cook’s Meadow, close to the Merced River, which made it possible to include both the upper and lower falls in the photo; the verticality of the Valley gives the impression that a longer lens was used.
