Thanks Erik - the nice thing about the Rolleicord is that all the lens elements can unscrew with your hands - no tools needed - to clean them. The lens is bright clean but the front elements displays rainbow-like sheen. Possibly blooming.

This rainbow-like sheen is no problem at all. This sheen is a kind of natural coating, it improves the lens quality. Don't try to remove it. It's different from haze.
The Elmar on my old Leica I has this sheen too, and other lenses too. I love it!
