I made this shot in München in about 1975. I think the man needed police protection because he was a look-alike of Hitler. Just imagine the guy with a small black moustache!

Thank you, Pan. A shot from 1979. Shot with my first Summicron 50mm rigid, 1567871. I was deeply impressed by its performance after many years using only the Nikkor H Auto. Unfortunately a few years later this Summicron became VERY hazy. Many years later it was cleaned by a former Leitz engineer, Mr. Scherpenborg, but it never got back this incredible performance.

They saw me take the picture. Dude walked into the restaurant and confronted me. "Delete it in front of me!" he demanded. I gave him the long lecture about how film how film worked, and thus could not be "deleted" in the sense he was thinking. He finally got bored and left. I did promise him that nobody would be able to recognize him or the lady (it was she who actually saw me take the picture) in the picture I took due to it being a wide angle picture, and my lack of skillz.

ps, if you recognize either of these people, please keep their identitiy to yourself.
