Bail out the Brits too !
I was sent a PENTAX 17 Half Frame Camera from a fellow YouTuber who had ben sent it to test by Ricoh but he did not show any actual PHOTOS with it -- so I have been trying it - FIRST I I used some 01/1991 dated AGFAPAN 25 from my Freezer and used my Home-Made 2-bath formula which I know give 32 ASA with that film-- so the Pentax 17 goes only to 50ASA ! -- So I dialled in some '+' Exposure Compensation and after an initial 'Clip Test' ( it is VERY EASY to open camera in a Changing Bag and CUT the film and pull it out) I gave it 3 mins

in each bath and got some great 'Delicate Negs' which is a requirement for 'Half Frame' So I took some Landscape Shape and found a Black BLOB in the corner of some which may have been my FINGER or my CAP ! Then I tried 2005 dated 'TUDOR ( FUJI) 100' film and home-processed in C41 and got good results but all the VERY CLOSE-UPS were OUT of FOCUS - only some at around 0.5 meter were good . The Distant Views were good .The FLASH is VERY WEAK - only good for FILL-IN at close range I found and the top shutter speed is 1/350th second but there is no 'Readout' in viewfinder what the Camera is setting for you .

I have to admit I love this picture. It helps that it's Sue, but it makes me smile.

Petra, Jordan.
I took this photo of the old bedouin in a tent as I was spending two days in the ancient ruin city of Petra (Jordan) after the first Gulf War. The old man was chatting about his WWII memories with the Brits and how he survived the events. I was fascinated by his wrinkled face and by his cigarette ashes that kept on growing and never fell down.
