Thank you, Pan, yes, photography is a kind of time-traveling.

Not sure, i have a picture of it- it was the 44-M4 version without the "MC" written on the front bazel. I have given this lens and camera to a photography student many years ago so i can't check. Possibly single coated (maybe others can clarify that?)
Here are some pictures from the same roll of film - same lens.
I love the portraits Pan, very good.
There must be millions copies of the Helios around, but pictures with the lens are rarely seen on RFf.
Doubtless it is a much better lens than most people think.

Hi Erik,
Yes, it is a small village close to Szczecin back in 2009. These were all German farms before the war, given as war reparations to Poland. You could even find old German books in these farms and deserted cemeteries in the nearby forests.

Thank you, Pan. Many years ago I had a love affair with a Polish girl in a village near Olsztyn. That town was also German before the war, Allenstein. The girl lived in Barczewko. Very beautiful countryside. She dumped me however. But she talked German, so I could communicate. Beata Faralisz.

Looks like the right (underwater)camera for the conditions Lynn! I wouldn't want to risk my near-new A7III in the rain, even though they say it's sealed. Nice gritty look suits the weather mood perfectly too.facing a storm on the Sydney coast.
