Thanks John. The Nikonos was perfect - no more worries about salt spray.Looks like the right (underwater)camera for the conditions Lynn! I wouldn't want to risk my near-new A7III in the rain, even though they say it's sealed. Nice gritty look suits the weather mood perfectly too.

What likely resonates in such photos, I think, is that a part of us (the viewer) feels the horror at the sheer potential that one's life (anyone's) may end up such. I think this response, which is not one of pity or compassion but something jarring and unsettling, has the potential to be cathartic.

I played photojournalist yesterday. A peaceful protest in my small town. I took my Canon IVSB and 35/2.8 lens, pre-focused, and walk through the crowd taking pics. On Ultrafine 100 film.
