Helen and Pan, these are very nice! And Helen I also like the previous one you posted "Holding On"

I haven't been on here so much but for some time wondered if there was word on how Colton Allen is getting on. I know that with each of his last posts here, there was extraordinary effort due to his declining condition. I certainly miss his input on the thread here.

I second that.

On 9 January he posted this to his Instagram, which I heartily recommend following:
A belated happy New Year to everyone. I am still around, but it is getting hard to use my computer. I haven't been able to post much, soon I will be getting a new eye controlled computer. I should be able to post more once that is setup.

He has made five posts since then. The latest one today, about six hours ago.

Very nice, Pan; I remember from a long time ago that HC110 + TriX = a lot of grain, but I don't see that here!

Erik.

I used the newer versions of Tri-x, with HC110 I got good grain although I never got good mid-grey tones. I switched to TMax because trix400 got very expensive and I liked it from the first film I shot. Now unfortunately it too got too expensive for me and switched to HP5+ which in many ways I prefer it to the trix in HC110 as it has less contrast. For me the tmax400 is on the top of the list - great sharpness with no grain any great mid-tones. Tri-x and rodinal left me completely unimpressed (grain the size of golf ball).
