Narrabeen lake on Sydney's northern beaches, where it meets the ocean. Rollei 35S HP5+ in Ilfotec HC 1+47. Yellow filter.

A lovely scene, Lynn. Is the lake salt water and tidal? I see on google maps it's so close to the sea.

The minimalist landscaper in me is drawn to that single tree in the sand across the lake.

Thanks John. The lake entrance periodically opens to the sea when the lake over-fills following rain. After it drains, wave action over quite a few tides (and depending on sea state) closes the entrance with sand to re-start the cycle. The lake is mostly fresh but the area near the lake entrance gets a salt water flush every so often.

I've eyed that tree many times, but it needs a long lens to properly isolate it against the dune!
