Second test of 18x24cm Kodak Min-R XRay film developed 18 minutes at 60C Straight replenished Legacy Mic-X. 300mm Schneider Xenar barrel lens AT f22 Yellow Filter. Four pops Broncolor C171 Beauty Light Contact Print 8x10 Arista #2 RC Multigrade dev. Again interesting how the red flowers go deep black.

The beautiful tones and incredible sharpness from the Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 (this is an early version with silver rim) are really something to behold - single coated, medium global contrast, very high micro-contrast. An absolute steal for $75 in mint condition.

Beautiful portraits, Jim. Especially like the second.

Here's one of some of the ladies in my life, taken with the same lens on a Nikkormat using XP2. I use Leica gear now, but hung onto the lens, thinking I might someday use it to scan film. Maybe I should get another body. Like you say, the lens is a gem.

She seems so sad and this emotional quality is very well depicted with the way this lens draws. beautiful !

I am experimenting with Xtol (after spending the last couple of years with Rodinal). The difference in grain structure is very apparent.
