Wonderful images Margus ... anyone who isn't convinced about the DP cameras yet hasn't being paying attention! :D

Great pictures Margus, I really have to consider the DP as a digital camera, your series (and others here) are very convincing!

dp2m Slow???

dp2m Slow???

Everyday i love more and more my dp2m...

Can´t understand yet why people think the dpm´s are slow and quyirky and will stop you from shooting...at least i could get my dp2m for more than a good price!!!!

Well check on this...no sports..for sure...

Af speed issue maybe due to those who have not tried the new fw update yet.

The new fw helped a lot in general but the new focus limit feature.. It feels like it cut the focus speed in half since when active it does no need to account for close focus.

Since the default is not active for this feature, if one just upgrades w/o enabling, then that is other possibility. Right now I think it is maybe slightly slower then x100..

and to be even more practical...on the dp2m we have a 30mm lens...please check the dofmaster info...

Focal length 30 (mm)

1-Selected f-stop 2.8 subject 10 ft away

Total dof 6.19 ft....1.82 meters of dof...

2-Now let´s see what happens at f5.6 and also 10 feet away...

total dof 16.8 feet....4.9 meters!

Do you really need to press the AF button????

Sure the AF limit helps a lot when you press the af system it won´t hunt for objects within 3 feet...so it´s even faster...if you use the AF system...i barely do...

really LOVE these two...just Stellar Rendering & Composition

Thank you very much Hellen, your words are always kind and wise ;)

If you need any advice on your new dp2m please let me be the one to help you.

What really is getting to me is the story told in the images, WOW, Nat Geo has nothing on Margus.

Dream on man. They wouldn't accept the "useless" 4.7Mpix images plus I'm from Eastern-Europe, nobody's interested in anything from here, never even heard of my country :)

Speed: when using the right technique I've never considered the speed to be a problem on DP2s (which is considered to be a very slow camera).

To get the right moment on very "unstable" subjects is very possible on the DPs imho.
