Post your high ISO R-D1 pix

Wow, for such a 'nice' dslr, you sure arnt putting it to much use photographing a lamp... in your house...

why not send it to someone who will actually use it? ;)

(i am just teasing/joking. I know it's a test shot. :D )

Well... the Nikon D700 is the camera. It's a beast compared to the rangefinder in size, but the sensor technology is astounding. So far, only using it for headshots in a studio and just testing around the house. That was my first time actually trying the max ISO on it, so the lamp look like a real nice subject, haha. My dream is that rangefinders would keep up with the advances in digital photography, especially technology which improves low light shooting.

I'd love a d700 but its too massive and too pricey.

I'll probably wait till around christmas time when I hope that the 5Ds will come down enough in price that I can afford one and say a 35mm 1.4 L lens.

I can live with the 5D's high iso... at least much more than the RD-1. I can live with the RD-1 but sometimes i need rediculously low light capabilities.

My R-D1s ISO setup:

200 - daytime
800 - nighttime
1600 - B/W

One of the ISO800 night shots with Summilux 35/1.4 preA:

This is a pretty "Taiwan" shot, I would say.
