Post your images here

I used to use film cameras quite a lot in past years. Here, I used an EFKE 100 film and I had it commercially developed locally. The images turned out grainy. The weather was cold and Pensacola Beach had very few people walking at the beach. I may one day use film again. The man was alone. He symbolized solitude to me.

I oft say we do not need to go far away to make photos. This was made a few hundred meters from home 4 years ago in a semi-lockdown moment (Covid) . In the background is an industrial building not sure if it is still used. I should go there one of the next days and see how it looks like now, I guess not very different. Hmmm,. the light will ve different! Maybe I'll take another photo...

For the lovers of technical details it was shot with the CV 50 F2 Heliar Anniversay Edition on the M10

I liked the Efke films. Sadly they are no longer available, but Fotopex/Adox have introduced a new version of their CHS100 emulsion that I will try soon I hope.

This picture makes good use of the grain and tonality, perfect use of film. Reminded me of this pair from ‘long ago’.

Rob: it takes a very good photographer to make a "basic scene" special. I can go over your image many times, and I see new things.

Am I ever enjoying this thread - the pictures I like looking at most are the ones that meant something (beyond "likes") to the person who took them, regardless of their technical qualities.

I took this photo in 2001 in Patzcuaro in the morning of 31 October. The flowers are for Dia des los Muertos (Day of the Dead) when families go to the graveyards, adorn the graves with flowers, candles, liquor and food. The gates of the Underworld are supposed to open at midnight and stay open until dawn. The families greet their departed with happiness and joy. It is celebrated on two nights, the first IIRC is for the children and the second on 1 October, is for the adults.

Anyway, here flowers are unloaded for the morning wholesale market. I like the color and composition. I may be alone. That's alright. It is not the only time. ;o)

Shot with a Sony DSC S70 and its 3.3 MP sensor.

I don't want myself to post many images in this thread as its goal is to have as many RFF members as possible post they favorite images from their galleries here.

We were on a car trip from Germany to Denmark and Norway. On the drive back, we stopped one night in Aarhus (Denmark). We made the mistake of leaving our luggage in the rental car overnight. Some people smashed the car windows and they stole all of our luggage. The day after--- a RFF member in Aarhus assisted us with filing a police report, and we all then had lunch together with his wife and baby and our family. I took one photo of my wife here:. We were sitting across a table from each other, and it must have been closer than the minimum focusing distance for the lens. Sharpness is sometimes not the most important factor in an image. We were all shaken by the robbery, and we tried to save the trip somehow. We all went shopping for clothes and stuff!
