Moody, gloomy, abandoned and decaying sign with odd confusing focus. The photo is ugly and not technically difficult. It gives a remembrance of the past and a sardonic solution for today. Symbolic, for me, of topics not discussed here. The symbolism is veiled and probably best ignored by most, but just in case. To me this is a statement with many potential expositions, but it is easily thrown in the trash can by viewers not interested. Why waste their time.

Are meaning, idea and message communicated here; all I can say is the photo's continued existence and presentation hints at something more emphatic than ugliness. I see it but I think the viewer has to be looking first. This is "What I was thinking." but the photo can have "What do you think?" for a few.

Maybe this could have been photographed better. I will admit one of my personality traits is opaqueness.




The other favorite photo is one of my deceased mom taken with a Monochrome M10. She said "I don't like my picture taken." But this photograph wasn't for her, just me.

My D200 is one of my favourite cameras, the metering and sensor is lovely, so much so, I have 2
