Post your images taken with a 19mm~21mm lens

There is a current thread on the Nikkor 2.1cm 4.0 lens. It is available in RF mount and in F mount. It seems to be a great lens based on the comments by some RF members.

We also have the Canon 19mm 3.5 lens. The RF version is optically identical to the FL (less expensive) version.

I have the Minolta W-Rokkor 21mm 4 lens. There is also a RF lens and an SLR lens.

How about also posting images taken with modern 21mm lenses here, such as by a CV lens. The Kobalux (and under other names) is known to be also a good 21mm lens.

This is a thread for all people to post, and more importantly, to comment on how they find their lens to perform. I agree that web based images can be deceptive. User input is most important.

I hope that this thread will not die quickly, so start posting ...

I'm happy with it, its small, sharp, and deals well with direct light too. The downside is, of course, the f/4, but since I got the lens for 150€, I can't complain.

These, mine is a 20mm on a Pentax, are tough to control at least in my hands. As mine is a SLR lens focus is also a problems. Frankly, I have really come to like RF lenses and cameras just because of the focus issue. For some reason maybe my eye site is bad (glasses) but still I always seems to do better with RF. So anyway, here are two recent with my 20mm:

I only have the Super-Angulon-M (21/3.4) but there is a own thread for that lens so .... any love for the Ricoh 21/3.5 LTM? 😀 I`d like to see some examples !

I am used to non-RF coupled wide angle lenses.

I've got a Zeiss ZM 21/4.5. I dig it. It's a great performer, but a bit hard to use at times. I find it really excels at everything but people shots. The people shots can work, but the framing can be a bit hit or miss (probably true for all 21mm lenses with the finder I'm using) - I usually leave way too much room up top. Other than that, it's fantastic. Sharp, resistant to most ghost-type flares, and very little distortion. It does have a bit of bleed type flare with strong highlights and a hefty amount of vignetting, but I find it goes well with the kind of images I shoot.

21 elmarit 2nd version.. overall a nice lens but if it wasn't for the speed I would have stuck with the CV Skopar. This lens is soft in the corners on my M9... I will be trying it on my m4 shortly.

Erwin Puts talks about the 'too much room up top' problem in a review of a 24mm lens somewhere. His trick is to bend your knees a bit, to put the lens closer to chest level. It fills the frame with less empty space and makes your images a bit more dynamic. Try it out!

I'll try that. I think it's more about the fact that my finder has an additional line across the top edge for parallax correction that's not super accurate. So I try to frame heads with a bit of space from the line, and it turns out it's really conservative. And I'm left with too much space.
