Well I see that after micro 4/3 cameras came out, DPx cameras are forgotten!! It should not happen as there is no other digital camera with such bw image quality thanks to foveon sensor...Please post your photos to in praise to those cameras!

I have just got my DP1s today from the RFF member Chase! I have been dreaming this camera but it was damn expensive 1-1.5 years ago...now quite a bargain!

I do like the black and white images I've seen from these little Sigmas ... that's really nice!

I have one that is mostly sitting idle now. It's just too slow processing each shot. But the B&W quality is wonderful when I do have the patience.

So when shooting one of these things are you saying that each shot takes several seconds to process before you can take the next?

Yes, it takes about 6 seconds before you can trip the shutter again. I don't use the auto-focus, instead relying on zone focusing. The DP1 is great for this with a dedicated focus wheel that is easy to use. But the shot-to-shot time is a major pain.

Here is another one:

I have been seriously considering a DP1s for about a month now but I'm still on the fence. I do like the look of the b&w photos that have been posted so far. Keep posting 'em LeicaForever and Trisberg. Convince me I should pull the trigger :)

Here's one showing just how good the sensor/lens combo on the DP2 is. I haven't managed to produce anything this sharp and lifelike with my GF1.

Thank you - yes, colors come out a bit dull from X3F files, I dont remember exactly but I guess it was PP with ACR / CS3. Sometimes I push the colors a bit in LAB mode
