A couple more examples from a show. 18/2 @ f/2, ISO 3200, in-camera JPGs w/standard "Provia" setting & minimum noise reduction (no NR in post):
For comparison purposes, here are 2 similar shots taken w/a D700 + 28/1.4 AF-D @ f/2, ISO 3200, raw files processed in Capture One & w/some noise reduction done in post via Noise Ninja:

Some from this afternoon. Both with the 35/1.5.

Spyro: Really nice set.
JHutchins: You post some good photos! However, I see some extremely heavy compression going on, the images look really pixelated, that takes a bit away from them for me.

Walked around the French Quarter a little today and experimented with film simulation bracketing. These are: Standard, Pro-Negative Standard, and Monochrome with Y filter. 35mm lens.

ERIC BOUVET (VII agency) has been professing love for the X-pro 1 lately. i am sure if you keep an eye on what he is up to you will find some beautiful work from an X-pro 1. although i am not sure it has much to do with the camera.

The X100 has been out for a year, give the XPro time to catch up.
For my part, I'm having a hard time seeing in 28/50 after a year of 35-only. 28 feels so much wider and 53 so much narrower. I'll adapt.

A few photos from the yard. Shame there aren't really any flowers out yet.
Taken with the x-pro 1 and my 100mm smc macro tak adapted with a kipon adapter. Side note - if anybody knows of an adapter that will work with a 50/4 smc macro tak, please pm me. The kipon does -not- work with it.

A friend asked me to photograph a group of visiting monks as they created a sand mandala at the museum where she interns - I'm not overjoyed with what I got (I was in the back of the audience for the initial ceremony and the monks didn't seem like they were in a mood to be posed beforehand) but it's serviceable for the museum to document things, I guess. A lot more satisfied once the creation of the mandala started and I could get in closer to shoot them working.

Awesome shots. The color and detail that this chip produces is really superb.
