I have found this camera a joy to use.

I have to admit that I am in love with this camera system! I did manage to get the 60mm here in SC last week and love it as well. I think for wide angle I am going to go with the Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar 15mm f/4.5 M instead of the system 18mm lens...

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. The thing has such amazing performance at high ISO, that I think I could live with f4.5 on my wide lens.

Initial image samples using my 15mm Heliar via Kipon adapter have been less that promising. Some anomalies that I am seeing makes me suspect my adapter. With a subject at infinity focus, the periphery is soft, but markedly more so on the right side of the frame. However, when I used my 50 Summicron with the same adapter, the images was tack sharp across the whole frame. I'd like to try another version of the 15mm, but I'll probably have to settle for experimenting with my 21mm as well. Hopefully I can narrow down the issue to either the lens or the adapter.

I really don't think that there is an incompatibility issue with wide angle M lenses on the X-Pro 1 in general. It really appears to be more of a sample specific issue. Obviously, I intend to experiment some more with my M lenses, but I wouldn't mind picking up the 14mm Fuji that is supposed to be released in the Fall. If it's anything like the 35, I would be quite pleased.

Would you please update us as you work with this lens? I cannot believe that the Kipon adapter could be the blame. It is a CNC machined metal part and should be totally parallel!

My cv28/3.5 with the same adapter is also softer on the left side. It isn't on other cameras (film). Maybe the lens has a decentered element or other problem that the digital sensor is unforgiving enough to show it, but I doubt it. I too suspect the adapter.

On the other hand I'm yet to see a symmetrical wide lens that is sharp corner to corner on this camera.
