I have not been able to figure out how to attach the very nice large pix I see in many postings. The default seems to result in a little thumbnail that when clicked results in a decent sized image. What is the magic trick?

Cheers,
Dez

I usually right click the thumbnail and choose "Open link/picture in new window". I then copy the address from the address field. That way I'm sure it's the address for the full picture, and not the thumbnail.

EDIT: Under the assumption that the picture is uploaded to the gallery here or another gallery.

When you're writing your post and want to insert the picture, just click on the "Insert Image" button (the landscape with green hills and a sun) and paste the URL of your picture. This requires, of course, that your picture is uploaded somewhere.

Thanks very much, folks.

Dez,
I start with pictures already posted on Flickr. If you have 'large' images there, on ALL SIZES page, flickr gives the user a URL to post ("2. Grab the photo's URL:"). Use the RFF ADVANCED button, and then use the insert image icon in your post, and Viola!

Flickr and other galleries may have slacker restrictions to file size, than the galleries here at RFF. So if you want to post a picture larger than approx 850x650 then uploading it to a resource which can be addressed via a URL (http address) is a good idea. My ISP gives me space to load up files, images included, where I can link in pictures from, I also use Picasa. But frankly, I make do with the RFF gallery here in most cases.

EDIT: By the way, lovely camera you've got there.
