Posting to ITALY

I would like to ask a question of our Italian friends and membership if I may?
What is the best and safest and surest way of sending a camera (high value) to Italy and have it reach it's destination. I'm making no comment myself but I'm wondering why a lot of business will not ship to Italy and I need to.

never had troubles with post offices...
I've bought some stuff from EU countries, and the stuff always arrived. I usually use registered airmail...
