I have a 285HV, but the weight distribution makes the camera (M2 or M4-2) have too much rotational tendency when shooting vertical. I'm looking at the Metz flashes of the shorter variety - like the 40MZ-3i, and the equiv 32MZ. Has anyone used these on an M, and was it comfortable to shoot vertical with it? I need high power and fast recycle, which makes it difficult to find one in a compact size. I'm thinking the lowrider Metz style might be a good compromise. Thoughts?

I have the 40MZ3 which can be mounted on a handle unit and then to the base plate. Since I use this unit with a 21mm 2.8 ASPH, I need the aux finder on the hot shoe anyway but it does make for a balanced hold with my M's.-Dick

Thanks everyone. I tried out a couple of used Metz flashes yesterday, and bought 2 of them - the 28 C-2, and 30BCT4. Both are fairly powerful, fast recycling, and balanced very well on the camera. I tried the 40mz, but it did not feel good on the hot shoe.
