Thanks Bob.. what an amazing camera he left as a legacy. That 120 Noblex is unbeatable in my opinion.

Heh... that's a hat I got in China 3 years back. I was wearing it last winter and a friend took my photo! It's kind of fun. Stay tuned tho.. I'm thinking about a new avatar for 2008, it should be a continuation of the theme!

Sad. He was a nice guy in his way -- I met him a number of times at the Noblex stand, including the time I inadvertently smashed a 35mm prototype -- but some of the information in the obiit did not square with my understanding of what happened (the 360 degree swing is an obvious example).
He was a man always surrounded by extremely interesting stories and rumours, many of which were true. And I remember all kinds of odd things like his travelling-neg-carrier enlarger, synchronized with a roll-head paper holder. At least, I think that was one of his. I hadn't realized he was that old.
