For those of you who have not visited, this is a sculpture by David Černy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Černý of Sigmund Freud. It is here: Google Maps
For a short time we lived around the corner on Jilská, and I walked past Freud every day.

We were lucky and stumbled on Černy's Freud, as well as his Piss sculpture at the Franz Kafka Museum (I shot a video of that one!). Amusingly, we discovered later that his Freud was also displayed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which happens to be where my wife is from (we live in Seattle). After it was initially put up, 7 stories above the street, police and fire were called from people seeing what they thought was a real human hanging above the street!

Our ceiling, Praha, 1999. This ceiling was hand painted in the 12-13th century. When the building was subsequently ‘renovated’ it was covered.
