Praktina and Flexon

Just awaiting a cla , new blinds , boxed , Praktina IIa with 50 f 2 Carl Zeiss Flexon [ Pancolor ] to complement my Contax II / III and various Kievs of similar vintage .

Does anyone have any thoughts about how this lens would compare with my Contax II Sonnar 50 f2 and Jupiter 8 ?

It's probably a Carl Zeiss Jena lens (East German), and not Carl Zeiss (West German).

I don't think the West German operation made any lenses for export to East Germany for OEM purposes.

In any case, if it's a Sonnar design, it probably performs like a Sonnar. But you'll have to try the lens to see if that's the case.
