I just visited my optician.
This year I asked about Zeiss Business lenses and Hoya Meeting lenses. Both optimized for, well business and meetings clearly. Not for driving.
He steered me towards a new brand for me: Prats. Made by Rodenstock. Well I always liked their photography lenses so I ordered their eyeglasses lenses.

Ummmmmm ..... silly question (?) but what on earth are 'business' and 'meeting' lenses???? I've heard of lenses for short sight, long sight, reading, bi-focals, etc., but these are new ones to me - what do they do that's so special?

Thanks Jon, I had heard of them, just not heard them referred to in that way before.

I recently got a pair of the Hoya Varifocals. My second bi-focal glasses and quite a bit better than the previous pair! Never heard the terms "business" or "meeting" lenses, though.
I do wonder if Rodenstock might change the name from "Prat" to something else for the UK market...
