Hi there,

As I'm getting more and more interested in reparing or cleaning camera, I'd like someone to recommend me some preceision screwdriver ... Could someone recommend a nice kit ?

Thanks !

Fred

If you want to spend some money in tools, buy a lens spanner instead. That is going to be my next buy.
Until now, the 5$, blue box kind screwdriver has worked for me.... I'm a hobbist, not a pro 😀

The German Wiha screwdrivers are the best. Available at Fry's in SJ. I also use a cheap set made in China that I got at Target for $4.

The one thing I might suggest is to get a set that has both plain regular flat ones and philips heads. Seems like lots of the screws in the cameras I have are philips. I've got a set with both, which was just from a local hobby shop. I've had it for years and I forget how much it cost.

Radio Shack has nice set with flat, phillips and torx. Not precision stuff but they work okay.

I myself am considering a lens spanner. I've a Fed 2 that I need to clean some gunky grease out of. But just looking at my cameras, I can see where a little pointed and a slotted lens spanner would be essential for range finder lens mounts and the little knobs that hold down self timer levers and speed dials.
