Pre-Asph 35 mm hood question

Hi – I’d appreciate help with this. I have a Leitz hood for the 35 pre-Asph Summicron (hood is numbered 12524) - bought it new several years ago. On each side it has 2 small raised bars that look like there should have been for a cover. Did they make one? I believe they do so for the Asph hood.

When I bought mine new in 1993 it did not have a hood cover, only a lens cover (which didn't work with the hood on). Current version for the ASPH has the cover. Not sure if it is indeed the same hood?

So this would fit the standard hood of the pre-ASPH? Looks about the same size.
