Technically it's not Leica, but it's pre-war.

Leica I model C, Elmar 35mm f/3.5, Tmax400.
At this moment I am experimenting with the Leica I model C, wich has interchangeable lenses. This is with the Elmar 35mm. The standard viewfinder of the camera is not excellent for the Elmar 50mm (viewing angle too large) but also not for the Elmar 35mm (viewing angle too small). I need a torpedo finder, I have one.

Erik,
Great results with a 35mm Elmar - I have had three over the years, but none of them were anywhere near that sharp.
I'm currently using a re-badged Komura and waiting on an original CV Pancake for my 35mm "fix".
After nearly buying an O-Series replica (see other thread), I'm also thinking about a Model 1 or a Standard to go with my II.

Thank you, John. I had my lenses cleaned by a professional Leica repairer, Mr. Scherpenborg from Nijmegen. All those old uncoated Hektors and Elmars suffer from haze. Even a very slight haze ruins the performance of the lenses. When they are clean, you nevertheless also need a shade.
To use a I or a Standard is just great, but don't forget your FODIS!
Erik.

I've tried to get a 50mm f/2.5 Hektor lens (attached to a camera) on two separate occasions last month. No Dice.
Must try harder
