Highway 61, curious about the "downsizing in several steps". Have you verified that this is indeed superior to downsizing in one step?
I've never tried it. But I'm theorizing, possibly the applying "downsize sharper" several times is in effect very similar to applying a small abount of global sharpening.

I have used the bicubic setting, and it may still be my default. Thanks for the tips.
