Get it while it's hot, I just bought a pack last night - if I didn't have 600' of XX stocked up I would have bought 3-4. It's about as cheap as I've seen Tri-X in some time.

That same 100ft roll at B&H is $99. Not sure I'd trust Amazon as far as how fresh the film is. I always get fresh film from B&H.

It's currently an eye-watering price in the UK at one of the few places that seems to stock it in bulk here:

It's much cheaper to buy it in 36 exp cassettes but that seems to have been the case in the UK for a very long time. (Certainly since at least the late 1970s.)

I can eke out 20 rolls per 100ft reel, which comes out to $3.50/roll. Adorama and B&H both have the same 100ft roll for $100, and their single roll price is $4.99.

Wanted to chime in on this - I see Freestyle has the Arista Premium 400, which if nothing changed since i last used it is in fact rebadged Tri-X. They are 24 frame rolls, but only 2.69 a roll, which is sort of equivalent to 2.69 / 24 * 36 = 4.04 per 36 frame roll.

Given the price at Yodobashi Camera in Japan being about US$110/100ft roll it is a good deal even considering shipping costs. I just ordered two rolls. Thanks for the HU!

I think that's last years pricing. The current price plus shipping is now about $250. I actually prefer the tonality of XX too, I like to keep Tri-X around for when I need some flexibility pushing.
