Price check: 35 Summilux (non ASPH versions)

I don't think the Nokton 35/f1.2 would be a bad match. And, if you're finding size a problem, the Summilux Asph is no midget either.

BTW, I've seen some for sale on Adorama (they're gone now) at the tune of $1500+ (still below $1600). On eBay, their prices seem to oscillate.. but then, you know eBay... 🙄

Good luck in your search! 🙂

I don't own the Ultron but feel it's probably more in line with the Nokton in performance than the summilux. I would have no fear of owning and using this lens on any assignment or project. From the other CV lenses that I own and from reading experiences of others I would go for a Ultron over the summilux. I just purchased a 28mm Ultoron and have the 15, 35 1.2 and just bought a 50 1.5 Nokton used. From the experiences of these lenses at max aperture I would guess the 35 Ultron to be just as good. All of these lenses are excellent performers. The 35 1.2 is the best fast 35 that I've ever owned or used (canon , nikon and zeiss 35 1.4's included). The 50 noktonreplaced my summicron tabbed version that i was never thrilled about. I also have the new asph 50 summilux and will say it has a little edge on the nokton 50 but otherwise the Nokton 50 is as good or better than any 50 1.4 or f2 I've used and owned ( nikon, canon, zeiss 1.4). Don't be fooled by price and brand name. There a great deal of myth around some brands.
