Hi I was checking on Amazon and the Single Coat version retails $100 cheaper than the MC version? Any reason for this? Has the pricing between variants always been this way?

Sorry new to this lens. Looking forward to your insights.

Thanks

As far as I know prices have always been the same between the two. The SC one may even go for a little more second hand on Ebay.

Love my SC model and would buy it again given the choice.

Yes, this is correct; the SC version was selling for a higher premium for a while when RFF members seemed to like the single coating for B&W photography, I recall.

: They should be the same Price... SC and MC

I would not buy from Amazon
buy from the Head Bartender here on RFF

His site is CameraQuest: https://www.cameraquest.com/
Stephen Gandy ships fast, Well trusted and a Voigtlander dealer

He has one used in MINT condition with box and caps ... The Version I (v2 just came out)
Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 SC USED -
$429.00

Or You can purchase new

Best Wishes~ H

The SC and MC are the same, for the same version and same condition.

I am selling the Version 1 SC for $529 on closeout, a used Version 1 SC at $429, and a new Version 2 at $649

Best,
Stephen
