price of an rd1

With all due respect to those here who own one, I think if I had one, I'd take a deep breath every time I tripped the "shutter". I don't have to do that w/ my Canon RFs. Also I'd worry about where to get it repaired here in Korea.

Why do you think about this? ;-)
For me, quality of R-D1 is similar to Volvo from '60. Still runs, pleasure driving ;-)
Joke of course, but remember that R-D1 is not the quick camera like fast DSLR. I think it is for patient people and I think that is no different from your Canon rangefinders. Both can be wrong ;-)
