Hello,

I am thinking to get a scanner to scan my prints. Though, negative scanner will do a great job but I am afraid that I may miss the fun in the darkroom.

My target printing size is 8x10 inches(20x25cm) and have no plans to print anything bigger.

Do you recommend CanoScan LiDe 110, for scanning the toned/untoned or lith prints?

I have the Canon 210, which I believe is a slightly faster, higher resolution version. I think it's fine for document scanning, but for continuous tone images, I get regularly repeating scan lines throughout the entire image, visible at 100% magnification and more so after image manipulation. Since I haven't tried another copy, I don't know if it's a problem with just mine, or consistent for this model. I also haven't bothered to print any of my print scans to see how noticeable the lines are because I bought it primarily for document scanning and screen-rez display applications. I suspect it's probably not a 'feature' you're looking for. Maybe a scanner in a higher price bracket would be better?
