Printer Ink

I'm considering switching printer ink sources from printer cartridge manufacturer (HP) to generic (Ink Farm, Print Pal, etc). The price difference seems substantially lower than the OEM ink but I should get some second opinions first. How about your experience?

I use recycled cartridges in my HP 7260. I don't see a significant difference. But its not a top of the line machine by any means.
