Hiya,
I got some good news before Christmas, I have been invited to exhibit some of my Milton Keynes work up at the Open University in about 2 weeks times (EEK!) -- it's the first 10 photos here for the record.
I'm not sure which of those 10 it will be but I have a feeling that I will have to choose 6, otherwise it might be cramped. I'm also looking at 12x8" print size. I didn't want to make them too big, I wanted to encourage people to look closer, get their nose up to them and really look at them.
I've never done this before (you don't say!) so this is a new world to me, but I need to get good C-Type prints (nothing extraordinary, but I don't want to go down Jessops/TruPrint etc.!!) and also mounting of the prints.
I'm in the UK and was wondering what people would recommend. I was considering doing the prints myself but I am running out of time to do the job properly on them (and besides I need some new RA4 chems and larger paper.)
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance
Vicky

You might like to look at Peak Imaging - Sheffield's list of services, I've used them for all sorts of things - for years, the are very efficient.
Good Luck, Dave.

Owen Boyd does nice Cibachromes: http://www.owenboyd.co.uk/
Actually, I think he is the only one doing 'real' ones - am I wrong?

BPD Photec still advertise Cibachrome:

They were excellent last time I used them and not a bad price at all for hand printing. (No connection by the way!!)

Nice pics BTW, but I notice the Tags say most are on Ektar 100 which wasn't transparancy film last time looked, so Ciba may not be suitable as suggested.

Thanks everyone I will look at Peak's website. There are a couple of local places but as much as I want to support them, it's just too expensive (it would cost me getting well on for £65 for all 10 prints mounted locally... I can't stretch to that sadly -- I'm not rich, I just take pictures!)
Peak looks very reasonable and I should be able to get everything printed and mounted for a little over £40.
I'm hoping I may have another exhibition (public) soon; but I'm keeping all details about that under my hat at the moment; in case it doesn't work out!
Cheers,
Vicky
ps: yes Cibachromes are out, would love to use them but all these shots are Ektar 100, ironic really as it's one of the few series of pictures for my Impression Milton Keynes project not shot on Kodachrome 64!

I thought I'd update the post here and say I've gone with Peak Imaging. I've also had the space available increased so tis is good news! I've just got to stretch the budget even further but if a job's worth doing it worth doing properly.

Peak Imaging are very good. Some years back they did some wedding shots using their pro services and they were superb. great skin tones and just a quantum leap beyond regular services on the high street. Also do great E6.
