Printing negatives

Hi -

I was wondering if someone out there more knowledgeable than I am would help me understand printing from negatives. I would like to print a shot that I took on film but slightly adjusted the contrast in photoshop. Now, when I adjust the size in photoshop, it will not make it exactly a 5 x 7 without cropping it. Is there a way to print it full-frame into a 5 x 7 without cropping or stretching the photo? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

Simple. Just enlarge the canvas (not the picture) and give it a border until it's 5x7. For example, if it's a 4x5 photo, you'll have an 0.5" border on the short side and a 1" on the long. I prefer photos with the plain white border anyways.

You can print it on 5 by 7 paper with a blank strip along the long side or the short side, depending on aspect ratio.
