I have just been making some prints from M8 files. I used a fairly simple printer, the Canon Pixma 5200Ip. I'm still trying to count all the hairs in the beard of the model...
Anyway I found the following
1.The files need very little sharpening to get results that will shred your contact lenses to ribbons: USM 85, 1,1 is plenty. The amount of detail rendered is stunning. So no sharpening artifacts and no dedicated sharpening program necessary.
2.The camera tends to produce colours that are too intense for my taste; I desaturated 20%. However that may be caused by the RAW conversion in Lightroom.
3. The lens character does not just shine through, it is maybe even more pronounced than on film, but certainly not less.
The end result looks like a medium format photograph taken with a Leica lens....

So Jaap, exactly how much dentistry have you done in the past month? Has the M8 caused a wave of untrammled tooth decay in your area?

And another thing: on the computerscreen I see some moiré, but on the print not a trace.
