Hello all,
When I was at College I worked at a Kodak Photo Express (Lymington Photo Express on the fluke anybody knows it).
Anyway, I got hooked on prints on Kodak paper, Kodak Royal 8 I think. Now however, I've only found labs that print onto Fuji papers which frankly I loathe for portraits because they're so damn contrasty. I like Portrayed 800 and printing that on Crystal Archive or Fuji Color Pro just looks awful!
Any suggestions for labs in the UK that will print whole rolls of 135 and 120 onto Kodak paper? Developing in Kodak chemistry would be a bonus.
Thanks all!

The default minilab paper and settings for Fuji Frontier are higher contrast. You can get lower contrast fuji paper (can't remember the name) more importantly is the difference between Pro Frontier (Prolab) and High st minilab software.
The Pro software will give the Lab more control, they have several different curves they can apply in software.
The best option would be to supply the Prolab with a negative and Kodak print you like and get them to try to match it using curves adjustment in software.
Other than that I don't know any minilab using Kodak paper, you could ring Kodak and ask.

Good idea about calling Kodak, Photo Smith.
I use Peak Imaging for my colour stuff, but admittedly, it wasn't their "Pro" service.

Never used them, but I think there was a previous thread on a similar subject, and these guys were mentioned:

Oh, and Palm Labs also use Kodak paper:

Hope this is of some help.

Thank you all for your replies.
I have some rolls for printing after a holiday so I'll try some of the above and report back.

I used palm labs and they are now my preferred lab. They did a wonderful job printing high contrast Tri-X for me.
Highly recommended.
