Private Messages: Inbox lost many messages, SENT folder has everything ever sent.

The PM system seems to be off. I have lost messages in the Inbox, used to have many more.
The SENT folder: every message I ever sent including those deleted many years ago.

I was able to find the information wanted- from the quoted section of a reply, but the original message was gone.

That seems to be true for my sent folder as well, but my received folder remains as I last saw it.

Very odd.
