Not a very big one. The ring that takes the prong from the lens sometimes sticks for example if I have f 4 and change to f 8, the camera's prong (don't know the English name for it) sticks at f 4 and will move delayd to f 8 sometimes mot at all.
Do you yhong a droplet of oil would be the cure or is it in need of a more sophisticated operation?

You mention prong, by that do you mean the rabbit ears on the lens? If so you may be trying to use a non ai lens that will not work on the FG. This might help http://www.cameraquest.com/aidaiais.htm .

I would suggest, Bob, that the OP is referring to the meter coupling ring on the mount. I knew of an FE that exhibited a similar problem, but I never found out about the resolution...

NIKON KIU
Did you say Nippon Kogaku
The ring gets dirty underneath, it needs to be removed and cleaned.
It's pretty easy to do as I recall, I forgot wher I read it... just google it.
A drop of oil will not help, it will make it worse.

No suggestion on how to fix the problem but I did bring out my FG-20 last weekend and ran a roll of Reala 100 in it and just sent in the film today to the lab.... not one of Nikons best cameras I think but a robust old Nikon SLR... I use mine a couple of times every year just to "keep it going" !
Good luck with fixing yours!
