Hi,
i've got a coolscan 5000 ed rented for 2 days. I've been scanning 50+ b&w negatives without any problems, they look great.
suddenly i was only given scans with a resolution of approx. 300x500 pixels. i did not change any settings. i use vuescan 8.6.11. i've reset to default settings in vuescan, didn't help.
I am working on an Imac 3GHz C2D, mac os 10.5.8
i tried a silverfast demo, and was given the same results.
i get proper resolution in nikonscan, but i would really like to use vuescan.
anybody an idea?
thanks for help,
tim

Have you tried setting your vuescan settings to the default settings (I think it's File -> Default Settings)?
Have you power cycled everything?
If that still doesn't fix it, can you post your vuescan config here and I'll load it on my end and see if I have the same problem as you?

thanks brian for your quick reply, i just found the mistake. i somehow must have filled in a number in the field for tiff size reduction , while naming the new scan.
