I was doing R09 (Rodinal) 1:100 in 400ml for 1 roll of Arista Premium 400,
inverse 20 times initial and stand for 1hr.

My tank is the small stainless steel that hold 2 135 wheel...,
but the tank doesn't seem to hold more than 500ml

The problem is,
I heard that I will need at least 3.5ml of Rodinal for 1 roll,
so if I want to do 2 rolls... do I have to do it separately?

or if I can increase the concentration without altering the other parameter..?

Never heard of the 3.5ml rule for Rodinal 1:100 stand.

I did two rolls of Ilford Delta 100 Pro in 500ml 1:100 Rodinal (so 5ml Rodinal, 2.5ml per roll) the other day and they came out fine.

If you read the Agfa Rodinal instructions you can find the minimum amount of concentrate for each 135-36 or equivalent 120 roll film must be 10ml for each film.

There is some margin in this, to be more precise 5,5-6ml for each film. So if your tank can contain about 500ml max. your dilution for two 135-36 films can be only 1+50.
When doing 1+100 you need a bigger volume tank or handle the films seperately.

Best regards,

When there is not enough developer, the development of the lights will starve. When there are two films instead of one or much highlight is in the pictures they will starve earlier.
Controlling development starts with using enough developer.
